New FDA regulations have forced the vaping industry to come out with a lot of new devices recently. If they are all going to be as good as V2’s new XEO Void, this is just fine with me. This new product is an excellent way for beginning and intermediate vapers to jump into the world of sub-ohm vaping. While most box mods and advanced vape mods are too complicated for the average user, the XEO offers the power vapers crave with a simple two-piece design that is easy to figure out.
Designed in Germany, the XEO has a unique design in which the tank is built into the battery. The atomizer that is usually attached to the bottom of the tank is located at the tip of the device instead. It actually connects to the battery bridge in the e-juice tank, something that I have never seen before. The tip is the only removable component, so you can still switch the atomizer if you choose to do so. The design makes leaks impossible unless you fill it with too much e-juice, and I can definitely see other manufacturers copying it in the future.
The XEO’s original design does not detract from the vaping experience it offers. While it is not intended to produce the biggest clouds, it always produces a satisfying throat hit. Personally, I prefer that everyone around me does not need to know I am vaping every time I use my device, so I do not want giant clouds.
The 1500 mAh battery’s battery life is also excellent, frequently lasting two full days despite my heavy vaping. Overall, this vape pen has everything required to satisfy most vapers.
Aesthetically, the gun metal color scheme has a pleasing, professional look to it. It’s triangular shape also makes it easy to stand it up on a table. As a whole, the device is sleek enough for everyday use.
It is a little thing, but I liked that the device does not become hot to the touch with prolonged use. The device’s standard two mL e-juice tank lights up when you hit a fire button, producing a cool effect. It also has a window which allows you to see exactly how much e-juice you have left. The XEO is capable of handling both VG heavy and PG heavy e-juices with equal smoothness. This is quite rare, as most devices perform noticeably better with one or the other.
V2’s latest addition to their catalog is very good, but I did notice a few downsides. While its airflow control is easy to turn, it is covered up while the device is in use. This means that you have to adjust it blindly. The XEO’s mouthpiece is also smaller than most of the tanks on the market today, fooling me into thinking I needed a bigger pull than I did. I adapted to this fairly quickly, however. It would be nice if the starter kit included some e-juice as you really cannot start vaping without it, but a lot of devices have the same problem. Finally, I would prefer the USB port to be on the bottom as opposed to in the middle, but this is a minor concern.

The XEO vape pen has an extremely unique sleek shape and design. I went with a gun metal color scheme that looks professional and has a triangle body. This vaporizer stands out easily. Its charging port is near the middle. This always annoys me, but that is the only complaint that I have with the design. The mouthpiece of the vaporizer I bought is smaller compared to that of most tanks in the market, and I found myself in need of taking a bigger pull, so it does take some time to get used to this. I was impressed by the vapor output with the lower ohm atomizer, and to get the maximum vapor output, I used 0.6-ohm atomizer instead of using the 1.0-ohm atomizer.
The end result from using this vaporizer was rather pleasing and I ended up having very few disappointments on this mod.
This device makes our “best list” because it is geared towards new users. It is a gradual step into the world of sub-ohm vaping for those coming from smaller e-cigs. It is also an amazing mod for anyone getting into vaping and requires that extra uumph from the device without being tied into the complexities of some of the larger devices.
This mod delivers nearly five stars on all the vital levels. These are looks, size, vapor output and battery life. It is aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. This vaporizer is not a “cloud-chucker.” It was not made to be that way. Another big advantage of this mod is that it can vape PG and VG heavy ejuices with equal smoothness. This is a rare thing because most mods are better with a particular type of juice.
There are very few bad things to say about the XEO Void Starter Kit. V2 over delivered on this one. I would appreciate this best vape mod more if the USB port is not in the middle but near the bottom. However, this is not a big issue. Many people will not have problems with the location of the USB port. It is weird not having a view of the “airflow” hole when adjusting the vaporizer. However, this is not sufficient in my book to knock this vaporizer down, and it still gets 4/5 stars in my book.
